As you herd in the first video, there have been multiple times in my career when we would grow, and then i would hit a plateau. Twice I even slide backwards.
I originally thought that it was a marketing issue.
I would get some shiny objects, go to a conference, get all excited about the new new thing, only to end up frustrated.
It took me a number of coaches to finally realize that it isn’t about JUST the marketing.
One of my top 20 books is the four dollar sandwich, by Dr. Corey Malnkof.
My favorite quote from that book is “Who you are being affects who well what you do works.”
That was an epiphiny for me.
You can have the best marketing in the world, but if you have scarcity mindset, or any other number of personal issues, it wont matter how hard you work, or what marketing you do, it will never work as well as it will when you “fix” yourself first.
I know, because multiple times I would work on myself, find a new coach / guru, get some shiny objects, and get my head on straight, and then we would leap forward.
During those times when we were stagnant and I needed to work on myself, it didn’t matter how much marketing I did.
I could use a program that other avdisors got great results with, and it did not work for me.
It was so frustrating.
